Saudi-led investor consortium has completed its $55 billion acquisition of Electronic Arts, the publisher behind major franchises including EA Sports FC, Battlefield, The Sims and Apex Legends.

The consortium comprises Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake and Affinity Partners. The agreement was announced in September 2025 and officially closed on August 4, 2026.

Following the completion, Electronic Arts has become a privately held company and its shares have stopped trading on Nasdaq, ending its 36-year history on the stock market.

Shareholders will receive $210 in cash for each share, while Andrew Wilson will continue leading the company as chairman and chief executive.
