The grand finale of Prime NOW Presents ‘Negocio 3.0’, Co-Powered by Polar Ice Cream, one of the country’s largest inter-university sales strategy competitions, was successfully held in Dhaka.

Organized by COMMUNIC, the official communication club of the Institute of Business Administration, Jahangirnagar University (IBA-JU), the final round took place on the evening of August 7 at Hotel InterContinental Dhaka.

The finale brought together six leading finalist teams, who competed by presenting their sales strategies, business solutions, creative approaches, and strategic insights. With a total prize pool of BDT 2,20,000, the competition provided young business students with an opportunity to translate classroom knowledge into practical sales and business strategies.


The competition received participation from 356 teams across the country, with the finalists emerging through a series of challenging rounds. The six teams advancing to the grand finale were Avengers Assembled, Team Jhalmuri, Shingara Syndicate, Jhal Chanachur, Team Kotler Approved, and Team Zero.

They represented Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), North South University (NSU), University of Dhaka (DU), and University of Rajshahi (RU), respectively.

The occasion was attended by Professor Dr. Ireen Akhter, Director of the Institute of Business Administration, Jahangirnagar University, as the Chief Guest. Md. Kamrul Hasan, Executive Director & COO of ACI Consumer Brands, joined as the Special Guest, while Abu Obaida Emon, Head of Marketing, Domino’s Pizza Bangladesh, attended as the Guest of Honour. Abdullah-Al-Mamun, Head of Marketing, Polar Ice Cream, and Mashahed Hasan Shimanta, General Secretary of JAABS (Jahangirnagar Alumni Association of Business Studies), were also present at the event.

The event also brought together distinguished faculty members of IBA-JU, including Shish Haider Chowdhury, former Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division; Professor Golam Kibria Chowdhury; Professor Dr. Mohammad Bakhtiar Rana; Associate Professor Md. Shahriar Kabir; and Assistant Professor S.M.A. Moudud Ahmed. Distinguished alumni of IBA-JU and professionals from various sectors were also present on the occasion.

The finalists were evaluated by an experienced panel of corporate professionals comprising Nofel Wahid, Executive Vice President & Head of Digital Transformation, Prime Bank PLC; Md. Nazimdoula Niloy, Head of Brand, OPPO Bangladesh; Shihab Ahmed, Chief Sales Officer, Shanta Holdings; Md. Forhad Hossain, Sales Director, RYZE (Banglalink); and Masudul Amin Rintu, Head of Operations, Chorki. The judges assessed the teams based on the quality of their sales strategies, business solutions, strategic reasoning, and presentations.

Beyond the competition rounds, participants were provided with several opportunities to gain practical industry exposure. Experts from Unilever and Marico Bangladesh conducted two specialized workshops, while a dedicated bootcamp was arranged at Robi Headquarters. The initiatives covered key areas including sales, marketing, strategic planning, and corporate decision-making. The competition also expanded its nationwide reach through 29 roadshows and collaboration with 26 partner organizations, engaging students from universities across the country.

The successful execution of the competition was led by Nayla Mehjabin, President of COMMUNIC; Ishtiaq Arefin, General Secretary; and Fouzia Fatima Naznin, Vice President. At the end of the grand finale, the Champion received BDT 1,00,000, while the First Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up were awarded BDT 70,000 and BDT 50,000, respectively.

Bringing together talented university students, experienced industry professionals, faculty members, alumni, and distinguished guests, ‘Negocio 3.0’ concluded its third edition on a high note. The competition further strengthened its role as a platform for developing the sales, strategic, and business capabilities of young talents and preparing them for the demands of the corporate world.
