To spread the spirit of Eid among underprivileged children, the Chattogram Division of the United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) has announced its humanitarian initiative titled “Eid for Street Children 2026.” The program aims to bring happiness to street children in Chattogram who often miss out on the festive joy of Eid due to poverty and lack of basic necessities. Through the initiative, volunteers plan to distribute food, clothing, and essential items so that disadvantaged children can celebrate the festival with dignity and a sense of belonging.
According to the organisers, UNYSAB has been conducting this initiative for the past five years, working to ensure that marginalized children experience the warmth and celebration associated with Eid. This year’s program is scheduled to take place on 16 March 2026, and the organisation has invited individuals and well-wishers to contribute through donations to expand its outreach and support more children in need. The organisers said collective participation from the community can help ensure that no child is left behind during the festive season.
