Since 2013, House of Youth Dialogue has been actively organizing and collaborating in Model United Nations conferences across South Asia, contributing to and hosting over one a hundred Model United Nations conferences, including international conferences in Nepal and India. House of Youth Dialogue was founded by Barrister Md. Zahid Hasan Akhand, who is also the founder of Akhand Foundation, Gazipur. Building on this legacy, KINGSMUN Session 1 in Chittagong was proudly sponsored by PFEC Global, a leading international education and youth development organization that supports academic excellence, leadership training, and cross-border engagement programs. PFEC Global’s support provided essential resources, guidance, and global perspective, contributing to the academic quality, organizational depth, and overall success of the inaugural session.

House of Youth Dialogue Chittagong inaugurated its flagship Model United Nations conference, KINGSMUN, with Session 1 held from 23 to 25 January, bringing together delegates from diverse schools and curricula across Chittagong. The conference featured structured Model United Nations committee sessions, including DISEC, SPECPOL, UNODC, and a Specialized Committee titled the National Consensus Commission. Through formal debate, moderated caucuses, and resolution drafting, delegates engaged in diplomatic simulations aligned with established Model United Nations procedures. The Specialized Committee simulated the National Consensus Commission, where delegates conducted guided discussions and drafted the July Charter within a Model United Nations framework.

Committee sessions were conducted on 23 and 24 January at Premier University, providing an academically rigorous environment for parliamentary procedure, diplomacy, and debate. The conference concluded with a closing ceremony on 25 January at Chittagong Club Limited, marking the successful completion of the inaugural session. In addition to academic proceedings, the conference incorporated cultural elements that contributed to a dynamic yet disciplined delegate experience, with live performances by Shibu and DJ Bunty complementing the atmosphere without detracting from its academic focus.

From the Central Board, the conference was led by Pulok Ahmed, Conference President of KINGSMUN and the person who initiated the formation of this team, with strategic guidance from Tahzib Yahya, Conference Advisor, and Nusrat Jahan Authai, Central Board Director. The conference was administered by Mishaal Kaiser Rashid, Secretary General of KINGSMUN, supported by Sheikh Arham Aremin, Deputy Secretary General. The senior leadership of the conference included Zawad Zahangir as Director General, Idol Alamgir as Additional Director General, Sehtab Anwar and Elhan Arefin Ocean serving as Charges d’Affairs, Md Zaid as Special Envoy to the Secretary General, and Kashfia and Farhan Sadik serving as Chiefs of Staff.

Throughout the conference, delegates developed essential competencies central to Model United Nations participation and leadership. Delegates strengthened their understanding of diplomacy, practiced negotiation and consensus building, refined public speaking and formal communication, and gained hands-on experience in parliamentary procedure, resolution drafting, and multilateral decision-making. These skills reflect House of Youth Dialogue’s mission to prepare youth for academic excellence, leadership, and global engagement.
